Mary Rose (Vaculik) Kroes

Surrounded by her loving family, Mary Rose Kroes, age 86, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center.  Mary was born in Racine on March 24, 1926, daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine (Nee:  Zemek) Vaculik and was a lifelong Racine County resident.

Mary was a lifelong and active member of St. Rita Catholic Church and Christian Mothers.  On November 12, 1949, at the church she was united in marriage to Theodore “Ted” Kroes.   Mary enjoyed cooking, gardening, but most of all she cherished and loved caring for her family.  She will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her loving husband of sixty-three years, Ted; her children, Dennis (Donna) Kroes, Carol Kroes (Juan Ayala), all of Racine, Margaret (David) Voss of Union Grove, Joyce Kroes (Katherine Pentilla) of Waterford; her grandchildren, Richard (Amy) Klinkhammer, Tracy (Eric) Kipper, Tina Haag, Bryan (Kelly) Haag, Kimberly (Vinnie) Krezinski, Kristin (Geoff) LaCanne, Dakota Kroes, Michelle (Jason) Sutherland of New Berlin, Nathan (Katherine) Voss of Waupun, Jennifer (Art) Juszkiewicz of Rochester, Jeanine Pentilla of Portland, Oregon; her great-grandchildren, Trenton, Tyler and Troy Kipper, Dominic and Alyssa LaCanne, Dodge and Kylie Krezinski, Cayden Krida, Madalynn, Brayden and Brynn Voss, Jane and Ean Juszkiewicz; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Henry Kroes, Lillian Kroes, Georgia Repalian, Nettie Doyle; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Frank and Jerry.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, August 4, 2012, at 10 a.m. at St. Rita Catholic Church, 4339 Douglas Ave., with Rev. Kevin Mullins OSA officiating.  Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum, Hwy 32.  Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Saturday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 10 a.m.   Memorials to St. Rita Catholic Church have been suggested.

Ms. Mary Rose' passing has been a sad news for us right after we knew. But we will always remember her in our hearts. Someone should be making her a memorial page on Evertalk.
