Priscilla D. (Eland) McFarland

Surrounded by her loving family, Priscilla D. McFarland, age 85, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center. Priscilla was born in Racine on February 10, 1927, daughter of the late Abraham and Alice (Nee: May) Eland and was a lifelong resident of Racine.

Priscilla was a graduate of Washington Park High School. On July 19, 1952, at the Racine Christ Church she was united in marriage to Robert G. McFarland, who preceded her in death, March 19, 1998. Priscilla was employed by Siena Center for many years and in her earlier years at Oster and Hamilton Beach. A huge Brewer and baseball fan, Priscilla also adored her dog, Dutchess. More than anything, she treasured time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her children, David R. McFarland, Patrick A. (Linda) McFarland, Kathy (Phillip) Kucera, Robert D. McFarland, Scott (Colleen) McFarland; her six grandchildren, Sara and Kelly Bethke, Jacob, Zachary, Madelynn, and Emma McFarland; sister, Shirley Elliker; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ira Eland.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 18, 2012, at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Mark Swanson officiating. Interment will be held at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Thursday at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until time of service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials to the American Cancer Society have been suggested.
