LaVerne B. (Dallman) Kratochvil

LaVerne B. Kratochvil, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at her residence.  LaVerne was born in Sturtevant, WI, March 27, 1924, daughter of the late Henry and Lydia (Nee:  Klaus) Dallman.

She was united in marriage to Richard J. Kratochvil on August 1, 1942; he preceded her in death on September 5, 1967.  LaVerne was employed by Walgreens for twenty-eight years.  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was actively involved with the Goodwill Foster Grandparent Program.  Above all, she was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her children, Donna Sadlon, Sheryl Warden, David (Nancy) Kratochvil of North Prairie, WI, Lesa (Kane) Patt; 11 grandchildren, Rick (Mary Jo), Kramer, Michelle (Dion) Evenson, Andrea (David) Meurer, James (Cheri) Warden, Jodi Sadlon, Scott (LeAnne) Prochniak, Lori Greene, Cindy (Jeffrey) Ohrwall, Carrie Kratochvil, Paul (Lisa) Prochniak, Nickolas Patt; 26 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; sister, Mrs. Elmer (Patricia) Kaphengst; sisters-in-law, Catherine Wood, Verna Fritz; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by daughters, Sandra (David) Prochniak, Sue Kratochvil; son, Timothy Kratochvil; son-in-law, Dennis Sadlon; an infant brother; and by her sister, Dorothy H. Lloyd.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, November 26, 2012, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1533 Erie St., with Rev. Richard J. Stoffel officiating.  Private interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy, 32.  Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and Monday at the church from 10:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 11 a.m.  Memorials to St. Joseph Catholic Church have been suggested.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staffs at Home Harbor and Seasons Hospice for their loving and compassionate care.
