Ella H. Kramer

Ella H. (nee: Ernst) Kramer, 90, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan Health Care-All Saints on Wednesday March 24, 2010.

Ella was born in Racine on March 21, 1920, the daughter of Adolf and Minna (nee: Smilgir) Ernst. She was united in marriage to Carl Kramer on January 19, 1946, in Racine. Ella was a very active, lifelong member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She found great enjoyment and looked forward to her ladies night card-playing club, she also found great enjoyment in gardening, collecting recipes and baking.

Ella is survived by her children, Carole (Nick) Skover of Dousman, Kathleen (Guillermo) Arguello of Rochester, Minn., Carl (Mary) Kramer of Racine; nine grandchildren, Jennifer (David) Kolatski, Eric Skover, Rebecca Skover, Robert (Heather) Arguello, JoAnna Arguello, and Michael Arguello, Matthew Kramer, Toni Wyman and Megan Kramer.

She is further survived by great-grandchildren, Elijah Kolatski, Kaitlyn Rose, Pierce Arguello, Razalyn Kramer and James Wyman; one sister, Dorothy Sparrow of Franksville; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. Ella was preceded in death by her husband, Carl on December 10, 1995; two brothers, Herbert and Edward Ernst on June 9, 1993; and one sister, Adelia Riblett, on August 13, 2005.

Funeral services for Ella will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church 3011 Erie St., located on the corner of Erie and Melvin Streets, on Wednesday March 31, 2010, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Diane Tetrault officiating. Ella will be laid to rest next to her husband Carl at West Lawn Memorial Park. There will be a visitation at Sturino Funeral Home on Tuesday March 30, 2010, from 5 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. and at church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church have been suggested.

The Kramer family would like to extend a very special thank you to Wheaton Franciscan Hospice for their fine care and compassion given to our mother Ella during her illness.
