Pablo Amaya Jr.

Pablo Amaya Jr., 56, went to join his brothers, Ricky, O.C., and Danny in eternal life on Tuesday March 23, 2010. Pablo was a lifelong resident of Racine born on April 17, 1953, the son of Pablo and Eva (nee: Cruz) Amaya. He was a 1971 graduate of Washington Park High School.

Pablo loved to cook and was the Sous Chef at Casablanca de Mexico Restaurant and Lounge for seven years. He was an avid reader, sports enthusiast and Packer fan.

Pablo is survived by his parents, Pablo and Eva Amaya; two sons, Pablo Amaya III and Alfonso Amaya; three grandchildren, Pablo IV and twins, Marianna and Alexander; three brothers, Miguel (Pat), Albert and Bobby (fiance Angie Palacios); four sisters, Blanca (Tom) Amaya Webers, Rita (Chindo) Bocanegra, Alicia (James) Placencia and Anna Amaya-Tuinstra, all of Racine. He is further survived by aunts and uncles, Argentina Cruz, Theresa (Louis) Martinez, Juan Amaya, Estephana (Alfredo) Rodriguez, and Micaela Lopez; along with nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and other relatives and many dear friends.

Pablo was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard “Ricky” on June 15, 1991, Oscar “O.C.”, on August 22, 2003, and Daniel “Danny” on November 1, 2005; grandparents, Miguel and Sabina Amaya, Aurora and Francisco Cruz; niece, Eva Amaya; and great-nephew, Chico Kelley.

Mass of Christian Burial for Pablo will be celebrated at St. Richard’s Catholic Church, 1509 Grand Ave., on Friday, March 26, 2010, at 11a.m. with Rev. Ronald Gramza officiating. Pablo will be laid to rest next to his brothers at Calvary Cemetery. There will be a visitation at church on Friday, March 26, 2010, from 9:30 a.m. until service time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
