Bessie A. Ryan, age 84, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center. She was born in Portage, WI, on October 15, 1925, daughter of the late Frank and Maude (Nee: Calkins) Flower.
On April 29, 1950, in Pardeeville, WI, she was united in marriage to Floyd “Casey” F. Ryan. Bessie and Casey lived in Portage where their son Terrance was born, and in 1958 they moved to Racine. Bessie was employed for many years at DeRango’s Restaurant on High Street. She was a devoted wife and mother and will be dearly missed.
Survivng are her husband, Casey; a brother, Scott (Ramona) Ryan; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Richard Ryan, Bernadine (Bill) James, JoAnn (Dan) Martin; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved son, Terry; two sisters, Eula and Erma; and four brothers, Forest, Gordon, Gerald and John.
