Adele M. “Dolly” Johnson, 77, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home on Monday, March 1, 2010.
Dolly was born in Milwaukee on September 27, 1932, to Elmer and Mae (nee: Anderson) Fiskum. She married William Johnson at Holy Communion Lutheran Church on June 9, 1956. Dolly was a longtime member of Holy Communion Lutheran Church. Prior to having a stroke she enjoyed bowling and traveling, especially to Las Vegas. Dolly was also president of the PTA, a Girl Scout leader and an active member in the church. Most importantly she was dedicated to her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Dolly is survived by her husband, William Johnson; children, Jeff (Sharon) Johnson, Randy Johnson, Lynn (Mike) Riekkoff and Karen Johnson and grandchildren, Kari and Megan Johnson and Daniel and Kristen Riekkoff; sister in law, Nancy Fiskum; and brother in law, David Schaefer. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Marlo and Robert Fiskum; and sister, Beverly Schaefer.
Funeral services for Dolly will be held at Holy Communion Lutheran Church, 2900 W. 6th St., on Friday, March 5, 2010, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Kathy Brown officiating. Private interment will take place. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Thursday evening from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and on Friday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Memorials to Holy Communion Lutheran Church have been suggested.
