Florence Kinsey

Florence (nee: Smith) Kinsey, 77, passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2010, at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare - All Saints. She was born in Wallace, Michigan, on September 22, 1932, the daughter of William and Myrtle (nee: Johnson) Smith.

Florence was a “1951” graduate of Stephenson Michigan High School. On October 29, 1955, Florence was united in marriage to William Powell, who preceded her in death in 1974. Florence attended Faith Community Church in Racine. She found great enjoyment in crocheting and was an avid reader.

Florence is survived by her son, Robert Powell of Marinette, MI; daughter, Kathleen (Eric) Winterle of Racine; three grandchildren, Daniel Powell, Cuyler Powell and LeAnne Winterle; sisters and brothers, Myrtle Meyer of Augusta, GA, Robert Smith of Urbana, IL, Hilda (Jack) Madahgian of Racine, Jim (Rita) Smith of Corsicana, TX, and Albert (Mary) Smith of Fairfield, CA. She is further survived by her former husband, Frederick Kinsey; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends in Racine and Marinette.

Florence was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Cindy Powell; and five brothers and sisters.

Funeral services for Florence will be at Sturino Funeral Home on Saturday, March 6, 2010, at 3:30 p.m. There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Saturday before services, from 2 p.m. until time of service. Florence will be buried next to her husband, William, in Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Marinette, WI. this coming spring.
