Joseph W.
Horvath Sr., 87, passed away at
HCR Manor Care,
Kenosha, on Monday March 22, 2010. Joe was born in Racine on November 23, 1922, the son of Steve and Mary
Horvath. He was united in marriage to Violet
Jorgensen in Norman, Oklahoma, on November 13, 1943. Joe served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II earning the rank of Sergeant at the time of his honorable discharge.

He was a tool and die maker for Sterling Company, Badger Company and retired from Frost Company after many years of service. In his later years, Joe worked at Oh Dennis Saloon and Charcoal House,
pre-cooking their famous ribs.
Joe is survived by two sons, Joseph (Maureen)
Horvath of Savannah, Georgia, Gary
Horvath of Racine; two sisters, Irene Smith of
Franksville, Mary
Kowalsky of Racine; and one brother, Steve
Horvath Jr. of Racine. He is further survived by other relatives and many dear friends. Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Violet, on March 25, 1990. In keeping with Joe’s wishes private services were held at
Sturino Funeral Home.
