Agnes M. Christiansen

Mrs. Agnes M. Christiansen, 95, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, February 16, 2010.

Agnes was born in Redwing, Minnesota, to the late John and Ida (nee: Bergen) Holthe on August 8, 1914. She lived in Racine for most of her life. Agnes was united in marriage to Arnold B. Christiansen Sr. He preceded her in death in 1993.

Mrs. Christiansen was a very devote believer in Jesus Christ as her Savior and a longtime member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. She was very active through the many years, enjoyed baking, cooking, vacationing in Door County and feeding the birds. She also enjoyed the company of her best friend and dog, Houston.

Agnes is survived by one daughter, Freda (Allan) Roberts; three sons, Arnold Jr. (Barbara) Christiansen, Ralph (Cindy) Christiansen and Kris Christiansen; nine grandchildren, Barry (Angie) Roberts, Randy (Gayle) Roberts, Charyl (Chris) Callewaert, Darrell Roberts, Andy (Lori) Christiansen, Mickey (Carolyn) Christiansen, Natalie (Robin) Nichols, Martin (Melissa) Christiansen and Sonia (Todd) Kasperowski; 22 great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law, Gordon (Evelyn) Jensen, Santo DiGuadio, and Muriel Christiansen; and one cousin, Grace Josephson of Redwing, Minnesota. She was also preceded in death by two grandsons, Dennis Roberts in 1984 and Arnold B. Christiansen III in 1990.

Funeral services will be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 2219 Washington Ave., on Friday, February 19, 2010, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Tracy Polzin officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church from 9 until the time of service.
