Lester R. Eaton

Lester R. Eaton, age 88, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2010, at Wheaton-Franciscan All Saints Medical Center. Lester was born in Mauston, WI, October 31, 1921, son of the late William J. and Myrtis (Nee: Campbell) Eaton.

During World War II he served in the United States Army. On September 8, 1943, in Mauston, WI, Lester was united in marriage to Bernadine F. Naughtin. Lester owned and operated United Automatic Products. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and the Racine Moose Lodge #437. He also enjoyed dancing with the Circle 8 Square Dance Club. Above all, he was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his loving wife of 66 years, Bernadine; his children, Patricia (James) Schoff, John W. (Lynne) Eaton, Peggy (Gordie) Singer; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Harold M. (Betty) Eaton; sister-in-law, Lena Eaton; brother-in-law, Bob Fosbinder; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Earl and William.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, March 1, 2010, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1533 Erie St., with Rev. John D. Aiello officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Monday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 11 a.m. Memorials to Thoughts for Food, c/o Racine County Food Bank, have been suggested.
