Lusia Toni Sierra born in Chicago, April 30, 1947, daughter of the late Jesse and Anita (Nee: Villapando) Sierra and returned to God, Friday, June 24, 2011. She battled many years of diabetes and other illnesses. Her children were by her side until the very end. Lusia devoted her life to her family and especially enjoyed holidays, cookouts and bingo. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her children, Lillian (Jamal) Martin, Danna Wendt (Paul Koons), Lisa (Alfredo) Bergeron, Laurie Okon (Ken Krug), Chris Sierra Sr., Adam Sierra, Richard (Jen) Okon Jr., Brittney Sierra; her grandchildren, Erykah Wilson, Chris Sierra Jr., Jessica and Anthony Vuco, Jacob Kenna, Naython, Jessica, and Rayond Bergeron, Justin Wendt, Brandon Cramer, Terry Thomas, Kaleb Wendt, James Spraggins, Logan Okon; great-granddaughter, Imayah Cramer; special friend, Richard Okon Sr.; lifetime puppy and friend, Oreo; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. She also leaves behind her extended family: the nurses and dialysis technicians who cared for her at the dialysis site. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Melissa Ann Davila; great-granddaughter, Amariana Lashay Hicks-Cramer; siblings, Frank Villapando, Susie Salas, Gloria Villapando and Al Villapando.
Funeral services will be Thursday, June 30, 2011, at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Thursday at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until time of service at 6 p.m. Memorials to the family have been suggested.
