David V. Barczynski, age 78, passed away Friday, November 18, 2011, at Mt. Carmel Medical & Rehabilitation Center, Burlington. David was born in Milwaukee, WI, on August 24, 1933, son of the late Peter H. and Helen T. (Nee: Snopek) Barczynski.
David proudly served in the United States Air Force. On November 3, 1962, he was united in marriage to Rose Marie Martin who preceded him in death, November 20, 1990. David was employed by St. Francis Seminary in Milwaukee for nearly thirty-six years until his retirement in 1998. He loved the outdoors, but more than anything he cherished time spent with his family. He will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his children, Patricia (Michael) Janikowski, Elizabeth (Dan) Tomasek, Dianna Harris, David J. Barczynski; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Beverly (James) Morris; sister-in-law, Dorothy Barczynski; brothers-in-law, Joseph Martin, James (Rosemary) Burns; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by twelve siblings.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 23, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Brother Robert Baran officiating. Interment will follow at Caledonia Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Wednesday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until time of service.
