Ronald A. Killips

Ron went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, December 16, 2011, following a courageous 10-year battle with cancer. Ronald Allen Killips was born in Racine on 4-4-44, son of the late Lester and Jeanette (Nee: Dahms) Killips.

Ron had been employed by Young Radiator for nearly 30 years before they closed. He then worked at InSinkErator and most recently at JSA Engineering. On April 23, 1982, he was united to Gretchen M. Russo. Ron was a member of Faith Community Church. He enjoyed hot rods, drag racing, drawing and working on his yard. He was very handy and was always there willing to lend a helping hand. Caring for his grandsons was his greatest joy. He will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his wife, Gretchen; his daughter, Bobbi (David) Hauser; his son, Scott Allen Killips (Candi Darlington); his beloved grandsons, Larry Allen and Robert Allen Killips; brothers and sisters, Leroy Killips, Gordon Killips, David Killips, Linda Killips, Sandy Johnson, Debra Killips; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Carol (Keith) Wuenstel, Stephen Russo, Jane Chiappetta, Thomas (Sherry) Russo; other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 20, 2011, at 6 p.m. at Faith Community Church, 215 S. Newman Rd., with Reverend Dino Galati officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday at the church from 4 p.m. until time of service at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family have been suggested.

A special thank you to all of our brothers and sisters in Christ who have cared for us and blanketed us in prayer. You truly have shown us the face of God’s love. God bless you!
