George J. Eftemoff

George J. Eftemoff, age 80, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2013, at his residence. George was born in Racine, WI, on November 19, 1932, son of the late Steve and Eva (Nee: Zeleski) Eftemoff.

George was a graduate of Washington Park High School “Class of 1951.” He proudly served in the United States Air Force. On May 23, 1959, at St Rita's Catholic Church he was united in marriage to Dorothy M. Veselik.

George was employed by the Ladish Company for thirty-four years, retiring September of 1997. He was a longtime member of St. Rita Catholic Church. His pastimes included golfing, fishing, bowling, playing dartball and attending his grandchildren's activities. Above all, he cherished time with his family and will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-four years, Dorothy; his children, Susan (fiancee Matt Mergener) Bliese of Mukwonago, Sallie (Jeffrey) Hollow of Racine, Stacie (Thomas) Cannon of Wayne, NJ, Scott (Kelly) Eftemoff of Evansville, Sharyn Eftemoff of Minneapolis, MN; grandchildren Ryan, Sara and Amie Bliese; Jeffrey, Jayme, Jacob (fiancee Elizabeth Ptack) and Joel Hollow; Quinn, Shane, Claire, Grace and Isabella Cannon; Samantha, Sydney and Abigail Eftemoff; brother, Rowdell (Rita) Eftemoff of Gulf Shores, AL; brother-in-law, Donald (Rose) Veselik; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Helen Eftemoff and Florence (Ray) Neumann; grandson, Adam Bliese; in-laws, Charles (Judy) Veselik and Rita (Wilmer) Buchholz.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. Rita Catholic Church, 4339 Douglas Ave., with Rev. Kevin Mullins O.S.A. officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of Mass. Memorials to St. Rita Catholic Church have been suggested.
