Justin Jesse-James LaFaive

Surrounded by his loving family, Justin Jesse-James LaFaive, age 38, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2013, at his residence. Justin was born in Racine on September 23, 1975, son of James E. and Daphne L. (Nee: Miller) LaFaive.

On April 11, 1998, in Racine, he was united in marriage to Barbara L. Schommer. Throughout the years Justin worked as a maintenance mechanic for various food services and was last employed by Baptista’s Bakery in Franklin.

Justin was a member and originator of the Brew City Crawlers and belonged to the American Red Cross Disaster Response Team and Twisty Turns Motorcycle Association. More than anything, he cherished time with his family and will be fondly remembered as a loving and dedicated husband and father who will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his loving wife of fifteen years, Barbara; his children, Christopher Schommer (fiancée, Crissy), Andrew Schommer (fiancée, Jennifer), Heather Bethany-Lynn Schommer; his grandson, Ayden; father, James (Sandra) LaFaive; father-in-law, Jonas (Joyce) Schommer; mother-in-law, Jeanette (Terrance) Downes; sister, Catherine (James) Markstrom and their son, Sammuel; half-brothers, Dameon LaFaive, Terrance LaFaive; foster brother, Billy (Annette) Bass and their children, Christian, Victoria, and Vivian; stepsister, Raeann Sundholm; stepbrother, Shawn Sundholm; brother-in-law, Jonas (Nancy) Schommer and their children, Evelyn and Jonas; sister-in-law, Tammy (Thomas) Ashley and their children, Cory (fiancée, Danielle), Elizabeth, Jonathan, and Catherine; close family friends, Mason and Jessica Grabher; other relatives and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Daphne LaFaive; and by his nephew, Andrew James Markstrom.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 4, 2013, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Bill Walmsley officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Monday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Memorials to the family, c/o Barbara LaFaive at U.S. Bank have been suggested.
