Charles Garbedian

Surrounded by his loving family, Charles Garbedian, age 83, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2014, at his residence. Charles was born in Racine on December 21, 1930, son of the late Moses and Mary (Nee:  Ohannesian) Garbedian.

Charles was a graduate of William Horlick High School “Class of 1950” and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Marquette University.  During the Korean War he proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and received the Purple Heart.  Charles lived his life serving in various executive positions in the private sector.  He enjoyed his family and will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his three children, Denise (James) Brennan of Mountain Lakes, NJ, Chuck (Darla) Garbedian of Waukesha, Michelle (Dan) Sheehan of Racine; 9 grandchildren; former wife, Norma (Nee:Ruffolo) Garbedian; other relatives and many dear friends.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Sam “Moe” Garbedian; sisters, Charlotte Valdez and Eva Aiello.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at 11 a.m. with Reverend Mark Jones officiating.   Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at Graceland Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Tuesday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m.
