Jennifer 'Jennie' R. (Riley) Musson

Surrounded by her loving family, Jennifer “Jennie” R. Musson, age 65, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center, following a stroke. She was born in Palo Alto, CA, on October 26, 1948, daughter of the late Robert W. and Alice L. (Nee: Buchfinck) Riley.

Jennie’s father, Robert, a journalist, moved her family from Nebraska to Evanston, Illinois, where she was raised. She was a graduate of Evanston High School and the University of Kansas with a degree in Education. Jennie embarked on her career as an Elementary School Teacher in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where she met the love of her life, Jeffrey L. Musson. They were united in marriage on October 13, 1978, and relocated to Racine in 1989.

Jennie was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church. An avid bridge player, life master, and member of ACBL, she also enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Jennie will be fondly remembered for her vibrant warm personality and ability to make everyone laugh and smile. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her loving husband of thirty-five years, Jeff; her children, Elizabeth “Libby” (Andrew) Hart, Caitlin “Cait” (Jeremy) Zellmann, all of Minneapolis, MN; her grandchildren, Norah and Isla Hart, Levi Zellmann; brother, Patrick Riley of Clearwater, FL; father-in-law, Carleton Musson of Racine; brother-in-law, Ken Parlini of Marlton, NJ; sister-in-law, Debra (Leo) Teohari of Toronto, Canada; Aunt Velma and Uncle Bill Dever of Largo, FL; niece, Kelly Riley; nephew, Alex Parlini; cousins, Marla Iley and Matt Dever; other relatives and many dear friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Marcia Musson.

A Memorial Service will be held at St. Rita Catholic Church, 4339 Douglas Ave., on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Kevin Mullins OSA officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11:30 a.m. Memorials to the Wisconsin Donor Network, Wisconsin Tissue Bank, P.O.
