Marjory E. (Blake) Larrabee

Marjory E. Larrabee, age 78, passed away Thursday, September 16, 2010, at her residence. Marjory was born in Menomonee, WI, on March 25, 1932, daughter of the late George and Vivian (Nee: Sanders) Blake.

On August 4, 1950, in Racine she was united in marriage to Orval L. Larrabee. She was a member of the Community Church of the Nazarene. An excellent seamstress, Marjory made many wedding dresses and enjoyed knitting and crocheting beautiful afghans for her children and grandchildren. She also found enjoyment in the kitchen, cooking and baking. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her loving husband of 60 years, Orval; her seven children, Karen Larrabee, David (Pat) Larrabee, Kathryn (Dean) Paull, Mary Larrabee, Danny Larrabee, all of Racine, Kevin (Tammy) Larrabee of Wisconsin Dells, Chuck (Laura) Larrabee of Racine; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Carole (Jack) Johnson of OK, Jewel (George) Hammond of MN, Larry (Marie) Smith of NC, Barb (Larry) Brogan of MN; sister-in-law, Ramona Smith; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Walter (Dorothy) Larrabee, Ernest Larrabee; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Melisa; and two brothers, William Blake and Donald Smith.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Community Church of the Nazarene, 8440 Spring St., with Marjory’s nephew, Rev. Jimmy Larrabee, and Rev. Ralph Scherer officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Monday at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. and Tuesday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Memorials to the Community Church of the Nazarene or to A & D Biker Ministry have been suggested.
