Mark E. Koleske

Mark E. Koleske, age 78, passed away Monday, September 20, 2010, at Wheaton-Franciscan All Saints Medical Center. Mark was born in Racine, November 16, 1931, son of the late Francis and Veronica (Nee: Feest) Koleske.

Mark was a graduate of St. Catherine’s High School “Class of 1950.” During the Korean War, Mark proudly served in the United States Army. On December 1, 1962, he was united in marriage to Sandra L. Johnson. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Racine Church Singers. Mark was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who treasured time spent with his family. He will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Sandy; his children, Tom Koleske, Jim (Jean) Koleske; his two grandchildren, Carter and Callie; sisters, Hildegard Walsh, Rita Barranco, Elaine Jones; brothers, Lawrence (LaVerne) Koleske, Louis Koleske, Daniel (Shirley) Koleske; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Josephine Koleske, Joseph Adamek, Judy (Andy) Madsen, Jane (Chuck) Bragg; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters and brothers, Marie Koleske, Eleanor (George) Beyer, Joan Adamek, Francis (Laura) Koleske, Paul Koleske, John (Roberta) Koleske.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, September 24, 2010, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1533 Erie St., with Rev. John D. Aiello officiating. Entombment with full military honors will follow at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 11 a.m. Memorials to St. Joseph Catholic Church have been suggested.
