Delores R. (Schneider) Kirkorian

Delores R. Kirkorian, age 77, passed away Monday, January 31, 2011, at Hospitality Manor, Kenosha, WI. Delores was born in Racine, March 7, 1933, daughter of the late Henry and Katherine (Nee: Hempel) Schneider.

Delores was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church. An excellent seamstress, Delores will also be forever remembered for her exquisite quilts, and knitting and crocheting projects. More than anything she treasured and devoted her life to her family. She will be deeply missed.

On August 9, 1952, she was united in marriage to Edward Kirkorian and to this union six children were born: Susan (John) Kirchenberg, Tom (Rose) Kirkorian, Theresa (Mike) Alley, Edward (Jennifer) Kirkorian Jr., Michael (Margaret) Kirkorian; son-in-law, Paul Helbling; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters and brother, Mary (Tim) Glenn, Tom (Sandy) Schneider, Margaret (Richard) Reese; her very special friends, Mary Burke and Rose Mason; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Helbling; great-granddaughter, Lyric Grigsby; brother, Don (Carol) Schneider; and sister, Audrey Lemire.

A Memorial Service will be held at Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church, 1700 South Green Bay Road, on Friday, February 4, 2011, at 12:30 p.m. with Rev. David Echelbarger officiating. Private interment will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the church from 10:30 a.m. until time of service. Memorials to Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church or to the Leukemia Society have been suggested.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Lisa Wolf and her nurse Vicki for their loving and compassionate care.
