Darrell R. Hoffman

Darrell R. Hoffman, age 57, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center. Darrell was born in California, October 26, 1954, son of Richard and Audrey (Nee: Sears) Hoffman.

Darrell was a graduate of William Horlick High School “Class of 1972.” On October 11, 1975, at St. Patrick Catholic Church he was united in marriage to Cecelia R. Blessinger.

He serviced vending machines in various locations throughout the state. Darrell was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, BRV Camping Club, and the Kiltie Cadets and Kilties. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his loving wife of thirty-six years, Cecelia; his children, Clif Hoffman of Racine, Barbara (Erick) Rooker of Joplin, MO; his six grandchildren, Bryan, Teddy and Lilly Hoffman, Kendrick, Hailey and Morgan Rooker; brother, George Rebhan of St. George, Utah; sisters, Dorothy (Larry) Garski of Racine, Bea Bea (Pete) Fischbach of Wautoma; mother-in-law, Virginia Blessinger of Racine; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Theresa (Joe) Christoffel of Two Rivers, John Blessinger, Virginia Kroll, both of Racine; former daughter-in-law, Beth Hoffman; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, George, on December 20, 2001; and brother, Bob Rebhan.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Deacon Howard Wirtz officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Monday at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. (Fraternal Order of Eagle Service at 6:45 p.m.) and Tuesday at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family have been suggested.
