George Arthur Bergman

George A. Bergman, 78, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2012, at Spring Manor in Racine.

George was born in Racine to the late Louis and Emily (nee: Langdon) Bergman and lived his entire life in the area. He has previously been employed at Careers Industries.

George was best known as a kind-hearted person who enjoyed working, helping others and fixing things. He always kept an open, flexible attitude about life and took everything in stride. He was also a very athletic person and had even participated in the Special Olympics in 2004.

George is survived by his sisters, Gail Harcus of Downy, CA, Judy Hermann of Racine, and Charlene Kunaschk of Zion, IL; nephews, Charles Nelson, Mike Nelson, Dean Nelson, Alan Hermann and Dale Hermann; nieces, Janet Laurin, Debbi Badzinski, Donna Bergman, Deana Bergman and Debra Bergman.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Warren Bergman and Louis Bergman, Jr.; and a sister, Louise Nelson.

Private services were held in honor of George at Graceland Cemetery.
