Anton 'Tony' Ebinal

Surrounded by his family, Anton “Tony” Ebinal, age 81, passed away at home on Tuesday, August 6, 2013.  He was born in Raststadt, Ukraine, on May 15, 1932, son of Hilarius and Marianna (Nee: Koch) Ebinal.

On January 31, 1959, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church he was united in marriage to Barbara F. Hartl.   Anton was a tool and die maker and had worked at Andis Co. for 14 years.  He was a member of St. Rita’s Catholic Church.  He enjoyed remodeling, building things, working out in his machine shop and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  He will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Barbara;  children,  Joseph (Shari) Ebinal of Racine, Elizabeth (Richard) Hansen of Union Grove, MaryAnn (Thomas) Ulik of NM, Regina Ebinal (Jochen) of Hamburg, Germany;  seven grandchildren, Emanuel, Katie, Justin, Ben, Cortney, Julia and Amanda; siblings, Audenia (Steve) Hefner of Racine, Georg  Ebinal of Racine, Mary (Jerry) Pusch of Racine, Leo  Ebinal of FL, Rosa (Jeff) Flegel of Racine; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, Alois (Leni) Hartl, Max Hartl and Betty Schreikel, all of Bavaria, Germany; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandson, Dennis Lee; his sisters-in-law, Resi Hartl and Marge Ebinal, and his nephew, Casey Ebinal.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rita’s Catholic Church, 4339 Douglas Ave., on Monday, August 12, 2013, at 11 a.m. with Reverend Kevin Mullins OSA officiating.  Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery, Hwy 31.  Relatives and friends may meet at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass.    Memorials to St. Rita’s Catholic Church have been suggested.

The family wishes to thank the Allay Hospice staff for their outstanding care, and a special thank you to Sarah and Maleka for their loving and compassionate care.
