Robert P. Goodman

Henderson, NV -- Robert P. Goodman passed away peacefully at age 90, on August 26, 2013, at his residence outside Las Vegas, NV.  He was born in Racine on June 22, 1923, son of the late Julius and Esther (Nee: Sanderson) Goodman.

Bob graduated from Park High School and received his law degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1946.  During WWII he served as a bombardier in the U.S. Army Air Corps stationed in Italy.  He practiced law in Racine until 1985. He followed his dream to make aliyah and lived in Israel until 1992. He retired to the Las Vegas area and was active in the Jewish community there.  He enjoyed reading, volunteer work, travel and sharing hot fudge sundaes.

Surviving are his daughter, Beth Randy Goodman, of Milwaukee, WI; and sons, Daniel Goodman of Lake Stevens, WA, and Joshua Goodman of Rochester, NY; his grandchildren, Lisa, Sarah, Jacob, Maia, Aaron, Arianna, Samuel and Isaac; great-grandchildren, Morgan, Jack, Hannah and Nicholas; and sisters, Ruth Hiller and Sari Ross.

Graveside services will be held on Monday September 9, 2013, at 3 p.m. at the Racine Jewish Memorial Cemetery at 700 Lathrop Ave., with Rabbi Martyn Adelberg officiating.  Memorials to Israel Sport Center for the Disabled (http://www.fiscd.org/) and American Friends of Neve Shalom/Wahat al-salam (http://oasisofpeace.org/).
