Cecelia P. Herumin

Cecelia Herumin, "Sis," age 87, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at Ridgewood Care Center in Racine, WI. Cecelia was born in Ashland, WI, on December 28, 1926, daughter of the late Roch and Josephine (nee:  Kowalewski) Herumin.

Cecelia was employed for twenty-seven years by Illinois Bell, Ameritech and, lastly, AT & T in Chicago, IL. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Racine, WI.

She lived with her nephew, John Augustyniak, and wife, Beth, for the past eight years.

Surviving relatives are her sister, Stella Foris, of Ashland, WI, and her sister-in-law, Jane Saunders of Sacramento, CA; nieces, and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings:  Sr. Josephine Herumin, PHJC, Alice (Glenn) Larson, Sr. Frances Herumin, PHJC, Joseph Herman, Rose (Stanley) Augustyniak, Theresa Herumin, Bernard (Jane) Herumin, Bernadine (Jim) Semenak and brother-in-law, Joseph Foris.

Cecelia will be dearly missed by relatives and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 22, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 201 Lakeshore Dr., Ashland, WI, with Reverend Paul Pare, O.F.M. officiating.  Interment will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet Saturday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass.  Memorials to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Racine, WI, have been suggested.
