Steven F. Novak

Steven F. Novak, age 84, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center.  Steven was born in Chippewa Falls, WI, on September 25, 1929, son of the late Felix and Nora (Nee:  Kane) Novak.

On September 5, 1950, he was united in marriage to Leva L. White.  He was employed by Fred Peterson Tile for many years, lastly self-employed with Riteway Tile.  An avid outdoorsman, Steven enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening, and was well known for his prized tomatoes.  He also enjoyed the Packers,  Brewers and his daily visit to the Grind Cafe.  Most of all, he cherished time spent with his family.  He will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his loving wife of sixty-three years, Leva; his children, Sandra (John) Horn, Rainy (Jerry) Niesen, Steven (Lisa) Novak; six grandchildren, Tracie (Rob) Pinet, Trisha (Jeff) Stratman, Jeffrey Novak, Lindsay (Joe) DeMatthew, Brittany Novak, Alyssa Novak; six great-grandchildren, Jack, Claire, Isabella, Josephine and twins, Aubrey and Lily; brothers, Stanley Novak, Jim Novak; sisters, Mary Lou Anderson, Annette Lauer; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bruce and Bob.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.  Entombment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.  Relatives and friends may meet with the family Wednesday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11:30 a.m. Memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association, Multiple Sclerosis Society, or to the American Lung Association have been suggested.
