Irene M. Pruitt

Irene M. Pruitt, 91, passed away at Lincoln Village Convalescent Center on Tuesday, February 23, 2010.

Irene was born in Burlington, WI, on October 24, 1919, to Henry and Metta (nee: Hackman) Weyhrauch. She married Leonard Pruitt in Delavan on June 23, 1938. He preceded her in death on January 18, 1993. Irene worked for Neiser Store for 53 years, the last ten years as the store manager. She was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she served on the Altar Guild and Ladies Aid. Irene was also a member of the Women’s Club of Racine and Racine Garden Club.

She is survived by her brother in law, Wallace Krivsky, and sister in law, Irene Weyhrauch. Irene is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Weyhrauch, and sister, Julia Krivsky.

Funeral services for Irene will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, February 27, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Stephen Jennings officiating. Interment will take place in Bohemian National Cemetery. Relatives and friends can meet with the family at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church Ladies Aid or Altar Guild have been suggested.
