Shirley M Kropidlowski, age 82, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2010, at Woodstock Health and Rehab Center. She was born in Wilmot, WI, October 29, 1927, daughter of the late Martin and Sadie (Nee: Frank) Jerde.
On May 18, 1957, at Racine, she was united in marriage to Stanley W. Kropidlowski. Shirley was employed as a sales clerk at various department stores for many years including Turnstyle, K Mart, and Welles Dept Stores. She retired in 1990. She was a member of St. Sebastian’s Catholic Church. Shirley enjoyed embroidery, baking, playing cards, bingo, word puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. Above all she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.
Surviving are her husband, Stanley; her six children, Larry (Donna) Jerde of Wilmot, Leona (Ron) Stelzer of Wisconsin Rapids, Ronald Kropidlowski (Fiancee Christina) of Racine, Stanley (Jody) Kropidlowski of Green Bay, Renee (Scott) Wesley of Sturtevant, Doreen (David) Bolanowski of Racine; daughter-in-law, Carol Kuleza of Wisconsin Rapids; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Eugene (Wynelle) Jerde of Wilmot, Harley (Roseann) Jerde of Twin Lakes; brother in-law, William Van Patten of MI; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Donald Kuleza; and sisters, Myrtle (William) Topel, Dawn (Ferdie) Jahns and Marlene Van Patten.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Wednesday, February 24, 2010, at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Paul L. Raczynski officiating. Interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet Wednesday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until time of service.
