Michael Nelson was born in Racine to the late Carl Lee and Agnes Marie (nee: Wasquite) Nelson and had lived in Racine for his whole life. He was united in marriage to Judith Ann Winsall who preceded him in death on March 5, 1965.Mr. Nelson was employed at J.I. Case Company and retired in 1990. He was a member of the Case 30-Year Club. He liked to go bowling and fishing. He enjoyed life and a good time, but most importantly loved to be with his family and friends.
Michael is survived by three sons, Stuart (Sandra) Brown, Charles M. Nelson and Steven (Roberta) Nelson; six grandchildren, Jason and Brian MacDowell, Stuart M. Brown II, Amanda Gano, Megan Reed and Emily Nelson; three great-grandchildren, Tyler MacDowell, Nina and Donavan Gano; two sisters and one brother, Ruth Garski, Margie Jurik and Joseph Nelson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister-in-law, James, Carl (Hildegard), Raymond and Kenneth Nelson; and two brothers-in-law, Chester Garski and Joseph Jurik.
Funeral services will be private for family only. Interment will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park.
