Carlos Juarez, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at Lincoln Village Convalescent Center. Carlos was born in Ojuelos, Jalisco, Mexico, on November 4, 1931, son of the late Dionicio and Gregoria (Nee: Davila) Juarez and had been a resident of Racine since 1968.
He was united in marriage to Evangelina Dominguez on March 2, 1958, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Carlos was a member of Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Carlos loved singing, listening to guitar music, travelling, playing pool, lottery and dominoes. Most of all, he cherished time spent with his family and will be deeply missed.
Survivors include his loving wife, Evangelina; his children, Maria (Francisco) Lopez, Alma (Eliseo) Duran, Carlos F. Juarez, Blanca (Victor) Vazquez, Reyna Juarez, Gerardo (Shaira) Juarez, Arturo Juarez, Sandra Juarez; 22 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Shelly Juarez; brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Mario; and his daughter, Eva.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, March, 16, 2014, at 4 p.m. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 p.m. until time of service at 4 p.m. Private interment will be held. Memorials to the American Cancer Society have been suggested.
