June R. (Braatz) Reich

June R. Reich, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center.  June was born in Racine on June 9, 1927, daughter of the late Arthur and Rose (Nee: Hage) Braatz and was a lifelong Racine resident.

On December 19, 1981, she was united in marriage to Richard Reich.  She enjoyed sewing and knitting and for many years she taught Interior Design at Gateway Technical College.  June was actively involved with the Republican Party and was elected City Clerk of North Bay for four terms.  June loved and cared for many Doberman Pinschers. Most of all, she cherished time with her family and will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her husband, Richard; her son, Bob (Janet) Caron of Mobile, AL; her daughter, Terry (Dennis) Wolek of Rolling Meadows, IL; her three grandchildren, Zachary, Mathew and Lauren Wolek; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Braatz.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 7, 2014, at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Ben Johnston-Krase officiating. Entombment will follow at Graceland Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the funeral home 11 a.m. until time of service.
