Kathleen A. (Soltes) Held

Kathleen A. Held, age 77, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2014, at United Hospital, Kenosha, WI.  Kathleen was born in Racine on January 20, 1937, daughter of Steve and Alice (Nee:  Hahn) Soltes.

On January 25, 1958, she was united in marriage to James Held.  Kathleen was employed by Dremel Manufacturing, retiring in 1999.  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.  Her pastimes included reading, knitting and baking cookies.

Survivors include her sister, Mary Ellen Smith of Racine; brother, Brian (Karen) Soltes of Oak Creek; other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and by her brother, Steve Soltes.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1533 Erie St., with Rev. Steve Varghese officiating.  Entombment will follow at the Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Town of Dover.  Relatives and friends may meet with the family Tuesday at the church from 10:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 11 a.m.
