Geraldine (Clendenen) Stover

Geraldine Stover, age 90, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2011, at Oak Ridge Care Center, Union Grove, WI. Geraldine was born in Dowagiac, Michigan, on August 18, 1921, daughter of the late Earl and Elsie (Nee: Lee) Clendenen.

On October 27, 1946, in Chicago, she was united in marriage to James O. Stover, who preceded her in death on Nov. 8, 2000. During the time she lived in Kenosha, she was an active member of Wesley United Methodist Church. Upon retirement, she and Jim moved to Hiles, WI, where Geraldine was a member of Three Lakes Evangelical Free Church. Upon moving to Home Harbor in Racine she made many new friends. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading and putting jigsaw puzzles together.

Survivors include her daughters, Susan Stover of Racine, Linda (Mike) Rose of Delaware; her grandson, Glenn Stover; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert (Mary) Clendenen, Norman (Mae Dean) Williamson; sisters, Edith Mae (Cletis) Bybee, Lugene (Tom) Humphrey, and Floy (Lynne) Hull.
