RoseMarie Pulice

RoseMarie (nee: Litrenta) Pulice, 81, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2011, at her residence with her family by her side.

RoseMarie was born in Kenosha on September 23, 1929, the daughter of Rocco and Angeline (Bonadio) Litrenta.

She was a graduate of Wm. Horlick High School, “Class of 1947.” RoseMarie was united in marriage to Samuel F. Pulice at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Racine on November 12, 1949.

She was employed at Kohl’s grocery store for 26 years, retiring as bakery manager in 1992.

RoseMarie was a proud member of Vittoria Colonna since 1950, serving as past president from 1970-1971 and from 1994-1995, was member of Washington Park Golferettes, Ives Groves Tuesday and Johnson Park Thursday Leagues, volunteer at WFH All Saints Gift Shop since 1993, and a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

RoseMarie and Sam spent many winters in their Punta Gorda, Florida, home entertaining family and friends from Florida and Wisconsin.

RoseMarie is survived by her beloved children, Barbara (Andy) Solomon of Racine, Frank (Sandra) Pulice of Fort Meyers, FL., Patricia (Tom) Stindle, Thomas (Debbie) Pulice, and Gina (Tad) Christensen, all of Racine.

She is also survived by grandchildren, Scott (Jenny) Solomon of Evanston, IL, Frankie (Kristin)Pulice of Decatur, AL, and Micaela and Kendal Christensen of Racine.

RoseMarie is further survived by one sister, Loretta Parise; one brother, Rocco Litrenta; one sister-in-law, Rose (Alex) Bagdasarian, all of Racine; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends in Racine, Kenosha and Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Samuel “Sam” on March 14, 2010; and one brother-in-law, Dominick Parise on June 17, 2009.

Mass of Christian Burial honoring and celebrating RoseMarie’s life will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2201 Northwestern Ave., Racine, on Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Ronald Crewe officiating and Rev. John Pulice concelebrating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Sam, at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy. 32.

Visitation will be held at Sturino Funeral Home on Monday, September 26, 2011, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., with Vittoria Colonna service at 6:30 p.m. There will also be a visitation at church on Tuesday, from 9 a.m. until 9:45 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, Midwest Affiliate, Attn: Memorial Tribute Processing Center, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674, have been suggested by the Pulice family.

The children of RoseMarie would like to thank her caregivers at Ridgewood Care Center and the Rehab Department for their care and compassion. Also a very heartfelt thank you to family and friends who helped put some joy in her days at Ridgewood.
