Dennis T. Kroes

With his family by his side, Dennis T. Kroes, age 57, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 23, 2014, at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center. Dennis was born in Racine on December 30, 1956, son of Theodore and Mary (Nee: Vaculik) Kroes.

Dennis was a graduate of J.I. Case High School “Class of 1975.” On May 31, 1977, at St. Rita Catholic Church he was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Donna M. Hess.

Dennis owned and operated Grove Die Casting for the past twenty-three years. He was a lifelong member of St. Rita Catholic Church. An avid outdoorsman he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and also had a passion: cooking for his family. He was loving and devoted to his family and will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his loving wife of thirty-seven years, Donna; his children, Kimberly (Vincent) Krezinski, Kristin (Geoffrey) LaCanne, Dakota “Kody” Kroes; his grandchildren, Dodge and Kylie Krezinski, Dominic and Alyssa LaCanne; his father, Theodore “Ted” Kroes; sisters, Margaret (David) Voss, Joyce Kroes (Katherine Pentilla); sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Diane (Jack) Skok, David Hess, Debra (Mark) Jossart, Daryl (Pam) Hess, Daniel Hess, Douglas (Lori) Hess; mother-in-law, Mary Jane Hess; his beloved dog, “Sammie”; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary; sister, Carol; and father-in-law, Jerome Hess.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 27, 2014, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Rita Catholic Church, 4339 Douglas Ave. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:30 a.m. Private interment will be held at Holy Family Cemetery. Memorials to the National Kidney Foundation, 16655 West Bluemound Road, Ste 240, Brookfield, WI 53005 have been suggested.
