Mary L. (Olson) Polzean

Mary L. Polzean, age 65, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2014, at her residence. Mary was born in Sparta, WI, on August 22, 1948, daughter of the late Edwin and Crystal (Nee: Rowland) Olson.

Mary moved to Racine in 1981 and was employed by Acme Die Casting for fifteen years until 2001. She retired from the Pick 'n Save Bakery Department. Mary enjoyed dancing and her trips to the casino. She also took great pride in her appearance and looked forward to her weekly appointments at the beauty shop. Most of all, she treasured time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her loving companion and best friend, Roy C. Matthews; her children, Dawn (Kevin) Klinkhammer, Edwin (Heather) Polzean, all of Racine; her four grandchildren, Kristen and Nicole Klinkhammer, Shelby and Ashley Polzean; sister, Patricia Briet; special nephew, Joe (Mary Beth) Matthews; special niece, Mary Jo (Kevin) Bartelt; other relatives and dear friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Joanne Matthews; and husband, Steven Jordan.

Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Friday, June 20, 2014, at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. Interment will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park. Please meet at the cemetery entrance Saturday at 9 a.m.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Roy for taking great care of our mom and grandma.
