Donald D. Mascaretti

Donald Dominic Mascaretti, age 76, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2010, at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center. He was born in Racine, May 24, 1934, son of the late Benjamin and Marie (Nee: Ropp) Mascaretti.

Don proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. Don was a former member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and volunteered with Salmon- A- Rama and the Love and Charity Mission. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his children, Todd (Trista) Mascaretti of Neshkoro, WI, Dawn (James) Martinsen of Racine; grandchildren, Kayla Mascaretti of Menomonie, Josiah Mascaretti of Crivitz, Joshua and Kailyn Martinsen of Racine; great-granddaughter, Mickenzie Sawinski; former wife and longtime friend, Patricia Lonergan; brother, Ben Mascaretti of Racine; cousins, other relatives and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, November 12, 2010, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1533 Erie St., with Reverend John Aiello officiating. Interment with Full Military Honors will be held at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Thursday November, 18, 2010, at noon. Relatives and friends may meet Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of Mass.
