Angeline 'Angie' M. (Alaimo) Goebel

Angeline “Angie” M. Goebel, age 76, passed away Thursday, April 15, 2010, at Wheaton-Franciscan All Saints Medical Center.  Angie was born in Milwaukee, November 29, 1933, daughter of the late John and Ella (Nee:  LaBelle) Alaimo and was raised in Racine.

Angie was a graduate of William Horlick High School “Class of 1952”. Furthering her education, she received a degree in Industrial Marketing at Gateway Technical College.  On August 8, 1953, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Angie was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Edward J. Goebel.  She was employed by Piggly Wiggly for twenty years, Host Company, and retired from Surgitek.  Angie served on the AFL-CIO Executive Council for a number of years.  She enjoyed flower arranging, yard sales, and was a huge Brett Favre fan.  Most of all she devoted and treasured time spent with her family.  She will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her loving husband of 56 years, Ed; her two daughters, Cheri (George) Yust III of Racine, Lori (John) Patrick of Palm Harbor, FL; her four grandchildren, George IV and Marie Yust, Natasha and Courtney Wick; sister, Antoinette “Toni” Green of Spring Hill, FL; brother, Joseph (Marianne) Alaimo of Spring Hill, FL; mother-in-law, Phyllis LaFleur of Racine; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Douglas (Patricia) Goebel of Racine; other relatives and many dear friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1533 Erie St., with Rev. John D. Aiello officiating, assisted by Deacon Russell Missureli.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32.  Relatives and friends may meet with the family Monday at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Tuesday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of Mass.
