June Hewlette

June Hewlette, age 81, went to her heavenly home Friday, April 16, 2010, at St. Camillus, Wauwatosa, WI.  June was born in Milwaukee, WI, June 29, 1928, daughter of the late Benjamin and Sophie (Nee:  Wieseke) Hewlette.

June was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church.  She was employed as Administrative Assistant at the church for thirty-nine years, retiring in 1990, and involved with the youth program, camps and conferences.  She was also a member of the YWCA and Lincoln Lutheran Auxiliary. 

Survivors include her nephew and nieces, Joan (Arthur) Zahn, Lea (Alex) Budzinski, Nancy (Bob) Leher, John (Carol) Hewlette, Marie Matulis; sister-in-law, Marietta Hewlette; great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, other relatives and many special dear friends.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her six brothers, Ralph (Hazel), Franklin (Florence), Donald (Laura), Gordon (Glenna), Floyd, Benjamin; her sister, Garland (Donald) Smith; and her dear cousins, Hazel and Joe Jovla.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 22, 2010, at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 716 College Ave., with Rev. Steven Fringer officiating.  Private interment will be held at Valhalla Cemetery, Milwaukee, WI.  Relatives and friends may meet with the family Thursday at the church from noon  until time of service at 2 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the First Presbyterian Church have been suggested.

The family extends a special thank you to all who took care of June, especially the staffs at St. Camillus and Vitas Hospice.

Miss June was a wonderful lady to everyone at First Pres. She considered every child to be one of her kids. What a legacy she has left.
