Agnes R. (Polansky) Kaisler

Agnes R. Kaisler, age 98, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2010, at Ridgewood Care Center. Agnes was born in Banov, Czech Republic, on January 17, 1912, daughter of the late Simon and Clementina (Nee: Hnilicka) Polansky.

Agnes was a lifelong member of St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church and on September 24, 1930, at the church she was united in marriage to John F. Kaisler. John preceded her in death, April 29, 1984. An excellent Bohemian cook, Agnes also loved antiquing, crocheting fancy doilies and pillowcases, and watching her favorite shows, Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. Agnes was a sports enthusiast especially for Bucks and Brewer games. More than anything Agnes cherished time spent with her family and will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her children, Edward Kaisler of Savage, MN, Delmar (Ruby) Kaisler of Cass City, MI, Nancy (William) Mutchler of Racine; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, William (Jean) Kaisler, George (Mavis) Kaisler, Babe Kaisler; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rudolph and Mary Kaisler; her daughter-in-law, Doris Kaisler; her granddaughter, Mary Jo Scherbring; grandson-in-law, Cameron M. Harris; sisters and brothers, Frances (Stanley) Kusnierz, Mary (George) Steimle, Anne (Fred) Kelsall, Anthony (Carol) Polansky, Frank (Margaret) Polansky; and 11 brothers-in-law and 12 sisters-in-law.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, December 21, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, 1903 Green St., with Rev. Ronald J. Gramza officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Monday at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Tuesday at the church from 10 a.m.  until time of Mass at 10:30 a.m. Memorials to St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church have been suggested.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to nurse, Rachel at Wheaton Franciscan 2A for her outstanding care given and also to her caregivers at Ridgewood Care Center.
