Bobby Chonte Ward, Jr.

Bobby Chonte Ward Jr, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2010, at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center. He was born on September 3, 1980, in Racine, Wisconsin, to Bobby and Glenda Ward, Sr,. He attended Wadewitz Elementary School, Mitchell Middle School, and graduated from Washington Park High School “Class of 2000.”

Chonte enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially loved birthday and holidays celebrations. It was never a quiet moment in the room with him. He would keep you smiling with his wonderful sense of humor. He also enjoyed playing his video games, playing basketball with his niece and two nephews, listening to music, helping his dad wash the car, and riding to the stores with his mother and shopping at the mall.

Among the many who continue to celebrate his life are his parents, Glenda and Bobby Ward Sr.; Grandmother, Annie Daniel; Grandfather, Lee Williams of Arkansas; his niece, Lexus Wallace; nephews, Justice and Tyler Wallace; Aunties, Allison Coleman, Carol Coleman, Sandra (Johnny) Ewing, Betty Jean Hook of Tupelo, MS, Virginia Whitfield of Miami, FL, Veronica Belchel, Tina Evans, Marqurite Williams; Uncles, Michael (Lela) Coleman, Chad (Jessica) Daniel, Johnny Ward, Willie Brown, Leroy (Carmen) Ward, Jimmy (Eliza) Ward, Alan Ward, Michael, Gary, Larry and Sam Williams; his special cousins, Raven Coleman, Sandy Coleman, Sharrika Brown, Tammy Carr, Talila Clark, Elizabeth Hicks, and Charles and Cindy Ward; his best friend, John Echoes; and a host of family, friends and loved ones. Meeting him at the Gates of Heaven is his sister Brandy Wallace; grandfather, Hue Daniel; Great-Grandparents Harrison and Ruth Coleman, Clifford and Mattie Ward; Grandmother, Betty “Big Ma” McCrae; Aunt, Sherrie Ward; uncles, Elvis and Wayne Williams.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Bobby Vinson and Rev. Jesse Summerall officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m.
