Myrtle Mary (Kraimer) Sus

Myrtle Mary (nee Kraimer) Sus (age 91) of Racine, Wisconsin, (formerly of Peachtree City, Georgia, and Couderay, Wisconsin) died on December 22, 2010. She was born on August 5, 1919, at Catawba, Wisconsin, daughter of George and Jennie (Rademaker) Kraimer.

She was raised in Price and Rush Counties, attended schools at Catawba and Ingram. She and Emery J. Cipov were married in 1936 in Chetek, Wisconsin, and parted in 1952. To this union four children were born: Arlene June, Emery George (Sonny), Joan Ann and Jeanette Myrtle. She and Anton Sus were married in Racine in June, 1960. They owned and operated “Sus Two-Way Radio” in Racine, Wisconsin, from December 1960 to December 1980. Myrtle also worked at Rainfair, Wisconsin Screw, and Motor Specialty in Racine and later was in sales.

In 1976-77, she and her son, Emery George (Sonny) Cipov, owned and operated the Silver Fox in Couderay, Wisconsin. In 1979, she purchased the Village Tap in Couderay, Wisconsin, remodeled and enlarged the building and renamed it “Village Pub and Grub.” Myrtle owned and operated this bar and restaurant from 1979 to 1988. She loved her customers and dearly appreciated them. She was a member of the SNPJ Lodge, Moose Lodge, Senior Friends and Pioneer Club. She played button accordion with the Samsula Button Box Club while in Florida from 1980 to 1996. She loved her family and grandchildren and loved to cook and have her children and families over for holiday dinners. She also loved crafts, crocheting, flowers and the outdoors.

Surviving are her two daughters, Joan (Russ) Heaton, Peachtree City, GA, and Jeanette (John) Buege, Racine, WI; son-in-law, Clay Morgan, Overland Park, KS; grandchildren, Hope Marie (Rick) Jordan, Elizabeth City, N.C., Mark Morgan, Strum, WI, Stuart (Pam) Morgan, Olathe, KS, Sheryl (Kevin) Sheptick, Radisson, WI, Shelly (Ted) Mico, Joseph Cipov, Kurtis Cipov, and Brian Cipov, all of Racine, WI, Christine Gibbon, Peachtree City, GA, Jennifer (Jayson) Bowden, Forest Park, GA, Walter “Punky” (Sue) Davis, Jr., Sturtevant, WI, Cheryl (Bill) Sigrist, Franksville, WI; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; brother, Sylvester “Sam” Kraimer of California; sister-in-law, Joanne Kraimer of Coon Rapids, MN; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Preceding her in death were her Beloved Husband, Anton (Tony) Sus; Mother; Father; Stepmother; Beloved Son, Emery George (Sonny) Cipov; Beloved Daughter, Arlene June Morgan; Stepdaughter, Marjorie Ann Sus Davis; Stepson, Wayne Sus; Brothers, Herbert, Hubert, Lawrence, and Lester Kraimer, and Ambrose Kraimer Dunn.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at noon at the funeral home with Deacon Dale Nees officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Tuesday at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Wednesday at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until time of service at noon.
