James 'Alan' Foxcroft

Surrounded by his loving family, James 'Alan' Foxcroft, age 58, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2010, at his residence. Alan was born in Manchester, England, March 10, 1952, son of the late James and Florence (Nee: Kenny) Foxcroft and moved to the United States with his family at the age of 10.

On June 10, 1989, he was united in marriage to Mary Ann Stemmer. Alan was employed by J.I. Case Company for thirty-one years, retiring in 2003, and belonged to their “20 Year Club.” He was an avid fisherman who will be missed by his fishing buddy, Richard Schattner. Alan also enjoyed TV nights with his buddies, Mark Phillips and Larry Petrick. More than anything he cherished time spent with his family and the many cruises they shared. He especially loved his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann; his children, Shane Foxcroft, Daniel Foxcroft (fiancée, Tara Kelemen), Ana Marie (David) Petersen, Thomas A. (fiancée, Debbie Ortiz), Gary J. (fiancée, Christy Glenn), Kathryn Friso-Rodriguez; 11 grandchildren, Lillian and Faith, Kathrine, Drew, Darin, Thomas Jr., Cole, Alyson, Samantha, Cecelia and Carmen; two great-grandchildren, Paul and Jayen; sister, Paulline Mascaretti (fiancée, Jack Folsom); sister-in-law, Kathy (Richard) Bertelsen; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Catherine Stemmer; brother-in-law, James Stemmer; and nephew, Darrin Mascaretti.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 18, 2010, at 6 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. Private interment will be held. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Saturday at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until time of service at 6 p.m. Memorials to the Ronald McDonald House or to one’s favorite charity have been suggested.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at the Cancer Center and Wheaton Franciscan Hospice for their loving and compassionate care.
