Eleanor L. 'Tootie' (Osborne) Nelson

Surrounded by her loving family, Eleanor L. “Tootie” Nelson,  age 76, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at Wheaton-Franciscan All Saints Medical Center. Eleanor was born in Racine, December 11, 1934, daughter of the late LaVerne “Ozzie” and Mary (Nee: Pias) Osborne and was a lifelong resident of Racine.

On June 20, 1953, she was united in marriage to Clemen N. Nelson. Eleanor was employed by In-Sink-Erator for seventeen years until her retirement in 1992. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Eleanor also enjoyed time spent up north. She will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her loving husband of fifty-seven years, Clem; her children, Debra (Kenneth) Morrall, Neil (Mary Ann) Nelson, David Nelson; her grandchildren, Caitlin (Jacques) Machol, Parker Nelson, Davis and Dillon Nelson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bonnie Sarchet, Fred (Carol) Nelson, Dan (Judy) Rassmussen, and Hildegaard Osborne; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Bernard.

Relatives and friends may meet with the family Saturday, April 23, 2011, at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. for a time of remembering. In lieu of flowers, memorials to one’s favorite charity have been suggested.
