Sue Z (Zahn) Sisak

Sue Z. Sisak, age 76, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Medical Center. Sue was born in Wauwatosa, WI, on April 2, 1935, daughter of the late Russell and Leona (Nee: Bulgrin) Zahn.

Sue was a graduate of Washington Park High School “Class of 1953” and attended Lawrence University. On September 6, 1958, at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church she was united in marriage to Matthew V. Sisak. Prior to her marriage she was employed at Zahn’s Department Store. Sue was a longtime member at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church and a lifetime member of St. Mary’s Hospital Auxiliary. An excellent baker and cook, Sue was well known for her outstanding flaky piecrust, kolaches, potato salad and Boston baked beans. More than anything, she cherished time with her family and adored collies. She will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her loving husband, Matthew; her children, Judith A. Sisak of Racine, Jeffrey M. Sisak (Linda Horn) of Franklin, Peter R. Sisak of Watertown; sister, Judie (Robert) Moeller of Sturgeon Bay; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Wencel (Irene) Sisak, Helen Urbush, all of Racine; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and her beloved collie, Captain E.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, April 16, 2011, at 10 a.m. at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, 1903 Green St. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery, Caledonia. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Saturday at the church from 9 a.m. until time of Mass at 10 a.m.

Many GREAT and WONDERFUL times were had with Sue on the Delta Queen. She is very much missed and may she rest in Peace in God's Arms. My condolences to the Zahn & Sisak Families in their loss.

We send our deepest sympathy to Matt, Pete, Judy and Jeff at this sad time of Sue's passing. What wonderful memories we have of pleasant times spent with Sue aboard the Delta Queen.
