Jeanette E. Nelson, age 79, departed on Saturday, April 16, 2011. Jeanette was born in Chicago, Illinois, on October 22, 1931, the daughter of the late Joseph and Marie Luelsdorff, sister of Joseph Luelsdorff.
Jeanette married Robert T. Nelson on March 1, 1951. Together they had two sons, Robert (Mary Connolly) and Peter (Renee); grandchildren, Kira (Ram Ganesan), Caitlin (David Chien), and Dane Connolly-Nelson, William and Theresa Nelson. Jeanette cherished and deeply loved her family. She was an excellent cook and loved to sing. She was overjoyed to meet her first great-grandson just this past month. Robert preceded Jeanette in death on June 30, 2007. They will now be together.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, April 21, 2011, at 11 a.m. at St. Rita Catholic Church, 4339 Douglas Ave., with Rev. Kevin Mullins OSA officiating. Private interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Racine, WI. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Thursday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to NAMI Racine, 2300 DeKoven Avenue, Racine, WI 53203.
