Gail (Kuchera) Glander

Gail Glander, age 54, passed away early Friday morning, November 1, 2013, at Froedtert Lutheran Memorial Hospital, due to complications from a genetic condition, Gaucher’s Disease.  Gail was born in Racine on October 10, 1959, daughter of William and Elizabeth (nee: Gruss) Kuchera and had been a lifelong resident.

Gail graduated from J.I. Case High School “Class of 1977.” On November 22, 1995, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Patrick J. Glander, and shared twenty-three beautiful years together, including many wonderful travels to Mexico and the Caribbean.  In her spare time, Gail enjoyed sewing and crafts, and had a great flair for interior decorating and making custom pillows. Gail had a profound Catholic faith that helped her through these difficult times. Her great smile, inner beauty and energy will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her loving husband, Patrick; her father, William Kuchera Sr.; siblings, Gloria (Scott) Miller, Bill (Chris) Kuchera Jr., Janice (Eugene) Sitar, Ron (Lisa) Kuchera; brother-in-law, David (Sue) Glander; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Per Gail’s wishes, there will be a private service in Pennsylvania, where she will be laid to rest with her mother, Elizabeth. Memorials to the Gaucher Foundation have been suggested.

The family extends a special thank you to all of Gail’s family and friends for all of your love and support.
