Steven John Morgan, age 72, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2013, at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center. Steven was born in Detroit, Michigan, on August 8, 1941, son of the late Richard and Floras (Nee: Thieme) Morgan.
Steve graduated from Washington Park High School “Class of 1959,” where he was honored as an All-State Guard on their State Football Championship team. Furthering his education, he attended UW-Whitewater and UW-Madison. He joined H & R Block, where he managed offices and became an EA Tax Specialist. After leaving H & R Block, Steve established his personal business where he was able to assist many friends and associates with their tax and accounting needs.
Steve was a proud member and founder of the 14th Street “Yacht” Club, and he was an avid Detroit Lions fan. He enjoyed spending time with his circle of lifelong friends. He will be deeply missed.
Survivors include his brother, Richard (June) Morgan of Memphis, TN; sister, Jerrilyn (Richard) Evanson of Carrollton, OH; nieces and nephews, Melissa Morgan, Nina (Brad) Milbauer, Richard “Rick” H. Morgan III, Mark Evanson, Paige (John) Boyle; grandnephews and niece; other relatives and many dear friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday December 7, 2013, at 11 a.m., at the funeral home with Rev. Joyce Rhinehart officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11. Memorials to Racine Heritage Museum, 701 Main St., Racine, WI 53403, have been suggested.
