Alyce J. (Davis) Koker

Alyce J. Koker, age 89, passed away Friday, October 7, 2011, at Lincoln Village Convalescent Center. Alyce was born in Genoa, IL, on November 28, 1921, daughter of the late Chester and Florence (Nee: Lord) Davis and moved to Racine from Cherokee Village, Arkansas, in 1998.

On December 30, 1957, she was united in marriage to George M. Koker, who preceded her in death, November 24, 2001. She and her husband, George, owned and operated Travelers Inn and TBird Lounge. While living in Arkansas she was a member of the Indian Lions Club and the Cherokee Village Methodist Church. Alyce will forever be remembered for her big heart; she was always willing to help others in need. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her children, Jacqueline (Bernard) Nemoure, Clark Gable, William (Karen) Forss, Robert (Margie) Forss, Sally (Malcolm) McClain, Bonnie (Tom) Henson; two step-children Rosa (Ray) Niles, Ernie (Jean) Forss; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her three sisters and one brother.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday, October 18, 2011, from  noon until time of a Memorial Service at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.
